Welcome
Welcome to the home of the Cleveland-Northern Ohio chapter of the
International Council on Systems Engineering. Our chapter began
organizing activities during the latter part of 2007, and received
charter status from INCOSE during January 2008. Consistent with the aims
and charter of the INCOSE parent organization, the chapter leadership
seeks to attract members with similar interests and capabilities in
addressing complex system problems. We seek to attract participation from
the entire northern Ohio
region, and build a robust organization that interacts in practical ways
with local industry, government, and academia.
Our initial focus - in addition to administrative matters such as
bylaws, working organization, and membership - is to create awareness in
our region of the importance and benefits that Systems Engineering,
Systems Thinking, and applied Systems Methods can help solve a broad
range of enterprise and societal challenges. Our chapter was
involved in the formation of a newly created working group - titled
the Power and Energy Systems Working Group (PESWG), which seeks to deploy
the best system capabilities and technology to addressing alternative
energy systems. Please visit our Purpose, Objectives and Mission page (link)
to review the specific aims and strategies set forth for the chapter's
future.
On behalf of the Cleveland- Northern Ohio chapter, let
me extend a hearty welcome to all who might perceive relevant
interest and seek common cause with the aims of our chapter.

and activities.
