INCOSE Meeting Announcement Joint meeting with INCOSE and the Health Physics Society (HPS) Tour: Tritium Extraction Facility (TEF) Date: March 11, 2005 Time: 12:00 – 1:30 pmPlace: Meet at 766-H and we will go over to TEF as a group Description: We will be touring the TEF that will support tritium production at SRS in FY07 and beyond. If you are an SRS “badged” employee, please join us as we tour one of the first projects to completely incorporate the SE process into the design from beginning to end. This will not be just a plug for Systems Engineering efforts, but will allow you to see the inside of TEF before it goes hot. Even if you know nothing about the requirements that we developed for TEF, this will be a chance to see how the Department of Energy (DOE) is advancing tritium technology for the future. I advise you that if you are debating about attending, it is easier to remove you from the list than to add you to it after February 28. Please note: (I apologize for the constraints, but this is an active construction site) 1. You shall reserve a spot for the tour by Feb. 28 (So that we will have enough tour guides) 2. You shall be a “badged” employee or subcontractor at SRS. (any color will do). 3. You shall wear hard sole shoes. (You never know what you will step on or in) 4. You should do your best to bring a hard hat and safety glasses. (After all, they’ll fit better) For additional information, and to reserve a spot by 2:00, February 28, contact Phil Simpkins at 952-6655 or e-mail philip.simpkins@srs.gov. Please check with your management on time keeping requirements if this coincides with your normal work schedule. Because of the popularity of this event, we have had to limit this tour to 40 participants. If you are interested we will put you on a waiting list and let you know if a slot becomes available.
