Defense Acquisition Guidebook (DAG) Reference for the CSEP Acquisition Extension

The United States Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Acquisition Guidebook (DAG) Chapter 4 is the basis for the INCOSE Acquisition extension (CSEP-Acq) examination. Effective 8 December 2008, a new DoD Instruction 5000.02 has been issued. It cancels DoD Instruction 5000.2, dated 12 May 2003. Correspondingly, the DAG has been revised to reflect the new instruction. The online DAG posted on the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) website is a living document that will be updated whenever necessary.

In order for the candidates to have a known reference Body of Knowledge, the basis for the INCOSE Acquisition extension will be the version of the DAG Chapter 4 that posted on this website. PDF versions of the entire DAG and DAG Chapter 4 are included below on this website as the official reference for the INCOSE Acquisition extension. The INCOSE-posted DAG will be updated periodically (nominally semi-annually) after verification of exam consistency by INCOSE.
