About the Enchantment Chapter of INCOSE
The Enchantment Chapter is one of the newer chapters founded in 2003. Enchantment Chapter is a rapidly growing chapter with membership representing Energy, Defense, and Commercial industries and over 20 unique organizations. Enchantment Chapter strives to provide a balanced program of interest and education to each of these communities
Mission Statement
The INCOSE Enchantment Chapter shall foster the definition, understanding, and practice of World Class Systems Engineering in industry, academia and government.
Objectives
The objectives of the INCOSE Enchantment Chapter are to provide a focal point for dissemination of Systems Engineering knowledge, and through its involvement with the COUNCIL to:
- promote collaboration in Systems Engineering education and research;
- assure the establishment of professional standards for integrity in the practice of Systems Engineering;
- improve the professional status of all persons engaged in the practice of Systems Engineering;
- encourage governmental and industrial support for research and educational programs that will improve the Systems Engineering process and its practice;
- promote INCOSE Enchantment Chapter activities with industry, government, and academia within the geographical area of INCOSE Enchantment Chapter.
Activities
- The INCOSE Enchantment Chapter encourages conferences, workshops, seminars and courses, and may sponsor or co-sponsor events as appropriate.
- The INCOSE Enchantment Chapter will provide its members with a communications channel for the dissemination of the systems engineering knowledge base.
- The INCOSE Enchantment Chapter will take action to increase the funding of research and educational activities that enhance the practice of systems engineering.
- The INCOSE Enchantment Chapter will foster educational programs and outreach, including through the public institutions.
