2007Chapter Meetings and Events
Since 1997, INCOSE Heartland Chapter has been providing
industry, academia, and government System Engineers the opportunity to
strengthen their Systems Engineering skills by engaging both local and
nationally known, professional speakers who speak on Systems Engineering related
topics at dinner events throughout the year.
The dinner events provide a relaxed
social environment for networking with other industry, academia, and
government System Engineers and exchanging viewpoints. Additionally, throughout
the year, the Heartland chapter provides professional workshop opportunities for
developing leadership, project management, and engineering skills.

CMMI and
Systems Engineering
Thursday June 21, 2007, 5:30-8:00 PM
Kirkwood Training Center
(KTOS),
3375 Armar Dr, Marion IA.
by Mr. Ron Pratt
Rockwell Collins
The
presentation will introduce the concept of the
Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI). The CMMi is a
process improvement approach that provides organizations with the
essential elements of effective processes. It can be used to guide
process improvement across a project, a division, or an entire
organization. CMMI helps integrate traditionally separate
organizational functions, set process improvement goals and priorities,
provide guidance for quality processes, and provide a point of reference
for appraising current processes.
The Seventeenth International Symposium
Town and Country Resort, San Diego, California, USA. The INCOSE 2007 theme Systems Engineering: Key to Intelligent Enterprises, highlights the dramatic expansion of opportunities available to those who learn to see and treat enterprises as systems and systems as enterprises.
