Welcome to INCOSE India!

 

The International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) is a professional society for Systems Engineers founded to develop and disseminate the interdisciplinary principles and practices that enable the realization of successful systems. INCOSE India is a startup chapter of INCOSE in India, serving as the primary center for "INCOSE life" for members in India. The chapter serves to provide a forum for networking with systems engineers from government, industry and academicia in India.

Get-together of INCOSE members in Bangalore (Jul 30th, 2009)

The first informal get-together “face-to-face meeting” of INCOSE members was held in Bangalore in Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, on July 30th.

There were four INCOSE members who had participated in the meeting - Deepak, Ramki, Prakash & Mukund (thanks to Deepak for the picture ).

Various ways to grow INCOSE base in India was discussed during the get-together.





Transitioning to a full fledged Chartered Chapter

We are in the process of transitioning the India Chapter from "Emerging/ Startup" Chapter to a full fledged Chartered chapter of INCOSE. All INCOSE members in India are actively involved in the same. Seminar on Formal Methods in Software Systems Development - organized by School of Computing Sciences VIT University, in association with Computer Society of India, Division V (Education & Research) and INCOSE India Startup Chapter, on Jan 10th, 2009

A seminar on formal methods in software systems development is being conducted in Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore by the School of Computing Sciences VIT University in association with CSI and INCOSE India Chapter. The purpose of this seminar is to deliberate “why formal methods are required for software systems today?” and “How to apply formal methods cost-effectively to software engineering?” In this seminar, the domain experts from academia and industry will deliberate on the ways in which formal techniques can be used to improve the quality and productivity of large-scale software development. The seminar is targeted for Software System Developers, Engineers and Researchers working in or interested in the design and development of critical and dependable systems. Systems Engineering Workshop conducted by Satyam in Bangalore (July 2008)

Satyam Computer Services Ltd. (NYSE:SAY), a leading global consulting and information technology services provider, hosted a one-day workshop on Systems Engineering on the 23rd of July at their premises at Bangalore. The workshop was the result of collaboration among Satyam’s Integrated Engineering Solutions professionals and several industry leaders and academic experts of India’s premier engineering and business schools. Close to 200 engineers attended the workshop that had provided a platform to understand the concepts and applications of Systems Engineering as an interdisciplinary field, in the development and life cycle management of the Systems. The workshop addressed Systems engineering challenges in general and electronic systems in particular. INCOSE India member, Mr. Vijayaraghavan Chari from Satyam, was part of the Workshop Core Committee that organized the workshop. INCOSE India startup chapter contact Point-of-Contact, Mr. Ramakrishnan Raman, highlighted the various activities of INCOSE during the workshop
