Mission Statement of INCOSE Japan Chapter (IJC)

INCOSE Japan Chapter (IJC) offers discussion opportunities and contact information for inquires regarding Systems Engineering (SE) with the goal of disseminating knowledge of Systems Engineering throughout Japan.

Goals

Activities to achieve the goal

1. Promoting cooperative relationship between education and research by enhancing information exchange among industry, government and academia.
IJC supports cooperative activities among industry, government and academia that contribute development of SE.
IJC offers hands-on activities such as symposia, conferences, workshops, seminars and tutorials to learn practical skills of SE.
IJC arranges a network that offers information for educational activities and human resources related to SE in Japan.
2. Establishing the Japanese-oriented standards of SE taking advantage of Japan’s field experience as the “Monozukuri (traditional craft skills and highly-specialized technology) power”.
IJC provides translation and distribution service of the Standards/ Guidelines/ Handbooks used for professional practices of SE abroad.
IJC creates Japanese-oriented standards based on the INCOSE Standards/ Guidelines/ Handbooks.
IJC provides useful information to those who are in SE and Project Management (PM) to enhance their professionalism and knowledge.
IJC contributes to the strengthening of the tie between SE and PM and promotes effective fusion of SE and PM.
3. Transmitting the outcome of SE activities both in Japan and to rest of the world.
IJC publishes the results of SE activities in Japan on their web site and through their newsletters.
IJC issues a periodical journal to publish the results of SE activities in Japan.
