It's Official -- The Detroit Tri-State Chapter is now the Michigan Chapter

During 2006 INCOSE U.S. Region IV management completed a restructuring of Chapter geographic lines.  At this time Detroit Tri-State INCOSE members who lived in Ohio and Indiana were reassigned to new local Chapters in their home states.  The result of this change was that the Detroit Tri-State Chapter consisted solely of INCOSE members residing in Michigan, making the "Tri-State" part of the Chapter name somewhat of a misnomer.  The name "Detroit Chapter" was considered but it was felt that this would alienate the nearly 50% of our members who do not live or work in the immediate Detroit area.  Substantial numbers of members live on the west side of the state (e.g., Grand Rapids), the Ann Arbor area and north of the Metro Detroit.  On November 15, 2006 the name "Michigan Chapter" was formally adopted.
