Speaker
Mr. Michael Juran, CEO of Altia, Inc. – a tool vendor for the model based development process.
Description
You know the benefits of model based development. Faster development cycles. Fewer errors. Better products. You even tried to use it on your last project, but it doesn't seem to stick. Costly and over hyped tools, unwilling colleagues and disinterested managers fight you every step of the way. Modeling takes so much effort and few people appreciate the return on investment. How can we tip it from the early adopter stage to a standard way of developing systems? How can we make it the rule?
Michael Juran has seen dozens of model based development projects in a variety of companies. From GM and Boeing to Medtronic and Panasonic, Mr. Juran has seen them succeed and fail. What are the common threads among the winners? One thing for sure, it helps to have clear and consistent communication between the designers, systems engineers, customers and executives. Simulation models and user centric prototypes are a key to this communication.
Mike will outline the pros and cons of the model based methodology and discuss the benefits and cost of user centric prototypes. You'll come away with information that could help make your next model based development project a repeatable success. As the lone voice for modeling, you'll finally get the credit you support you deserve.
