There are just five weeks left until the start of the 2005 International Symposium. Over five hundred people have already registered, putting the 2005 Symposium on pace to be one of the largest INCOSE events ever. Register today and ensure your opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues from around the world while hearing the latest in research, theory, and application.
- If you have not yet made your hotel reservations, we encourage you to do so very soon because rooms at the two conference hotels are close to selling out. Please visit the 2005 Symposium area hotels information page for further details and information about overflow hotels.
- Registration is now open for optional social program events on the symposium website. Please note that the deadline for registering for these tours is June 15.
- Committees and working groups planning to meet during the symposium are urged to submit your meeting space request form as soon as possible. Space is very limited and will be assigned on a first-requested, first-assigned basis.
Please visit the 2005 Symposium website for program updates and up-to-the-minute announcements.
An update of the Military Standard 499 has been developed for use by the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) of the US Air Force Space Command. The draft of Mil-Std-499C dated 24 March 2005 will be revised at least one more time this year and submitted for publication as a military standard by the end of 2005. If you would like to participate in the review of this draft standard, please contact Charles Halligan. The draft standard may be downloaded from the INCOSE website in either Microsoft Word format (1.6 MB) or Adobe Acrobat format (2.3 MB). Comments are due by 24 June 2005 and should be provided on the submission form to facilitate incorporation of your feedback.

The Communications Committee (Comm2) continues to expand its efforts on a broad range of communications, marketing, and public relations efforts. We're looking for a few members to help us take INCOSE communications to the next level. Interested in marketing or expanding INCOSE's outreach? If so, join David Paul and help INCOSE establish key themes and develop supporting collateral to reach key segments of our marketplace. If helping to "spread the word" of the good things happening within INCOSE is more to your liking, work with Valerie Gundrum on INSIGHT or help shape the rapidly evolving eNote.
Interested in these or other communications opportunities? Contact comms@incose.org to find out more.
The INCOSE website and INCOSE Connect collaborative workspaces will be moving to a more powerful server in late June. To accommodate this migration, both sites will be taken offline temporarily on Friday, June 24. Full access to the servers will be restored no later than Monday, June 27.
