The Lean SE Working Group was initiated in January 2006 at the International Workshop in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.
Working Group Goals
Ultimate Goal of the WG (3-5 years)
- Improve System Engineering practice by interpreting lean principles and tools and providing guidance for application
- Encourage lean thinking in general in the application of systems engineering
- Support the incorporation of lean principles and tools in systems engineering education
- Establish a community of interest
Intermediate Goals (Jul 07 - Jan 08)
- Report on results to date on SE practices survey
- Identify WG value-added contributions
- Establish WG charter
- Identify WG products
