Systems Science: The theoretical foundations of systems engineering, including system concepts, systems thinking, complexity theory, system dynamics, agent-based modeling, etc. Provides information about emerging knowledge towards improving the practice of systems engineering, and principles and guidelines for better analysis, execution of programs, uncertainty (opportunity as well as risk) management, tool selection, development of systems engineering processes, etc.

Current Projects
Several activities have been discussed at regularly scheduled SSEG meetings (that are open to anyone) held in conjunction with the INCOSE Symposia and Workshops. The main project underway is described briefly below:
Project 1
The current focus is on generating short essays for a special SSEG issue of INCOSE INSIGHT scheduled for January 2008 (and this web site) as SSEG members have something important to say about Systems Science for the benefit of INCOSE members.
