Exploration of the Internet by System Engineers

The Internet is a vast and mostly uncharted source of information that is of immense value to the system engineer. This talk will focus on the features of the Internet that are of greatest interest to our engineering community. There will be a live link to the Internet on a large screen display in the auditorium at GTE Government Systems in Mountain View. If you have always wondered about the Internet but haven't found the time to get started or if you're ready to move beyond email, you will not want to miss this presentation. This talk will feature:

Cost: FREE for members; $4 for non-members. No reservations needed.

Biography: Lew Lee has over 20 years of defense information synthesis and systems engineering experience. He has worked with communications, data collection, information processing, and simulation. During his spare time, he explores and experiments with the Internet using a variety of tools and connection methods. He has a presence on the Internet at URL http://www.relay.net/~lew. Lew is also the membership chair of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter.
