Program Abstract

The presentation addresses the way PW Space Propulsion has structured the Systems Engineering Organization addressing the importance of the disciplines of system engineering and their relationship to how the business is structured. This includes the relationship between systems engineering and Integrated Product Deployment. The presentation also delineates the four different systems engineering disciplines at P&W and the roles and responsibilities for each discipline.

About the Presenter:
Melvianne Cady is the INCOSE Space Coast Chapter secretary. She has a BS in Systems & Controls Engineering from Case Institute of Technology. She worked for GE Re-entry & Environmental Systems as a Control System Engineer from 1972 - 1977. In 1977 Melvi joined Pratt & Whitney in West Palm Beach, FL where she has held numerous positions in Systems Engineering including analytic systems engineer, operability engineer, project engineer, and systems engineering manager in several organizations. She is currently the department manager of Product Development & Validation for Pratt & Whitney Space Propulsion Operations. Some of her accomplishments include:
