Abstract:
Gopikrishna Mamidipudi will present a talk on Leveraging Internet Technology to Make People Smarter. He will share his unique vision of how the internet can be used more effectively to support the learning of individuals. He will also discuss how the education business can be addressed over the internet. He will highlight his vision for his enterprise, which is named iCoachMath. He will also discuss the systems aspects of the data bases and algorithms that underlie their internet delivery of educational support.

Bio:
Gopikrishna Mamidipudi is the Chief Technology Officer of iCoachMath, which offers a revolutionary method for learning math on the Internet.

iCoachMath.com (iCM) is a comprehensive Internet based math tool which acts as a robust supplement to any curriculum or instructional program. iCM helps remedial, average, and gifted students to build math skills and get ahead in math. For teachers and homeschool parents, iCM is a powerful worksheet/test generator and tracking tool. Virtual classrooms allow teachers to assign homework/class work via the Internet and to track class progress. iCM helps school administrators take a proactive approach versus a reactive approach to low test scores through computerized monitoring of classes. Gopi has successful experience from a number of other high technology ventures, and has chosen to devote his current energies to teaching math, which he sees as critical to the success of future generations in our increasingly complex and technology-intensive world.
