The Southern Maryland Higher Education Center (SMHEC) is located in the Wildewood Professional and Technology Park, adjacent to the St. Mary’s County Airport, off Route 235, in California, Maryland.  From 235 South, turn right on Airport Road (at Outback Steakhouse) and proceed ~1 mile to SMHEC. The Center is about six miles North of the Patuxent River Naval Air Station; about 35 miles South of Waldorf via Hwy 5/235, and 24 miles South of Prince Frederick via Hwy 4/235, and 62 miles South of Washington DC.
