Abstract:
|
Have
you ever wanted INCOSE to provide an online tool to communicate
the importance and methods of Systems Engineering to employers,
practitioners, students, professors, governmental agencies and acquirers.
It is headed your way in the form of the Systems Engineering Body
of Knowledge (SEBoK). This electronic performance support tool will
provide a means for accessing the existing knowledge base from within
INCOSE and from outside sources. This panel will present the elements
of SEBoK design and development including the requirements, layout,
architecture and development process. You will learn how the SEBoK
will "connect" the products of INCOSE and the skills of its people
into a powerful knowledge base to help you do your job and develop
additional capability. The SEBoK will provide direct linkage to
guides, standards, handbooks, primers and even training modules
or courses.
The
initial draft of the SEBoK is available for review at http://incose.org/orlando/sebok/index.htm
Please note that this site is subject to frequent revision so check
back often. Feedback would be most welcomed at INCOSE 2001, particularly
during the question time at this panel
