"Systems Engineering: Bridging Industry,
Government, and Academia" provides the framework
for authors to address the wider scope of Systems Engineering
and it's applications in the rapid turnaround, performance
driven commercial world, as well as in academia and the
traditional government contract business. Panels in all
areas of Systems Engineering are encouraged, with particular
focus on the future technical vision or position statement
on Systems Engineering with opposing views. All panel
discussions must be conducted in English, the official
language of the INCOSE 2005 Symposium.
Panel proposals must specify the topic of
the panel and planned panelists, outline the themes and
topics that will be debated by the panel, and include
a one-page position statement for each panelist and bio
from each panelist. Acceptable panel proposal must contain
at least two opposing viewpoints or positions. Each panel
proposal must specify the panel moderator, who will be
the point of contact for the proposal. Panel sessions
may differ in length, but proposals should plan for a
nominal duration of 90 minutes. Accepted panels are expected
to provide a one to four page position statement for each
panelist, which will be published in the Symposium proceedings.
