Biography                                                 

Ms. Sharm Baker has been a contracting Senior Systems Engineer at NASA Johnson Space Center for over 10 years. 

Ms. Baker has over 15 years experience in Project Management, Systems Engineering, and Risk Management in the fields of Aerospace, Financial Institutions, IT, and Higher Education. During her career, she has had the wonderful opportunity to successfully work with US and International Partners on projects of all levels in varying fields. In addition, she has developed many processes, requirements, and tools that are still in use today in all the areas that she has participated.

Throughout her tenure as a contractor to NASA, she has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors. Among the most significant was the “Silver Snoopy” award which is an astronauts' personal award. Ms. Baker’s contributions toward enhancing flight and crew safety and mission success, qualified her for the distinguished award.

 

Vision for the Chapter:

My vision and goals for TGCC INCOSE include:

  • broaden the TGCC value to our members
  • increase our active membership
  • enhance our membership by attracting systems engineers across industries, expanding our network and SE knowledge sharing
  • provide a strong education resource for our members
  • develop an SE mentoring program
  • engage companies in job fairs
  • expand relations with other professional organizations and join together to conduct symposiums and conferences
  • offer scholarships

Having the professional experience in building relationship and expanding organizations, I know this can be accomplished and I look forward to putting that experience in place for the TGCC and its members.
