Note - Due to safety restrictions, the hotel is not running a shuttle from the airport. You may, however, take Uber or another transportation service and show your receipt to the hotel, and they will reimburse you for up to $20.
Safety
The 2021 WSRC will meet all Federal, state, county, and hotel regulations. The wearing of masks is strongly encouraged - please bring your own, or select a free one at the conference registration.
Liquid sanitizers will also be provided throughout the event so please use them liberally and remember to wash hands whenever possible. Please minimize physical contact.
Viewing the Presentations Remotely
All registrants, virtual and in-person, can view the program and set up their schedule at Cvent at https://cvent.me/0KWBwx. Enter your name and email address and a login code will be emailed to you.
Using the Schedule Application
You can ALSO use the Cvent mobile app to see and set up your schedule. Download it free from the Apple or Android store, and search for Western States Regional Conference.
Food
Breakfast is served the hour before the first presentation on all three days. Lunch times vary, see the Program schedule, but last 1:15 hours. Sunday's lunch is a box lunch. Coffee will be available throughout the morning and day.
Happy Hour
There will be a free Happy Hour at the hotel on Friday night at 6pm. This will include free food and soft drinks (alcohol must be purchased by guests).
Optional Banquet
The optional Saturday evening WSRC banquet will be held outdoors at the hotel. The schedule is as follows:
5:30-6:30 Social and networking, random magic acts
6:30-7:30 Buffet dinner served
7:00-7:30 Presentation by INCOSE board
7:30-8:00 Presentation by university engineering team
8:00-8:45 Magic show Derek Ostovani (www.magicwithderek.com)
Optional Trip to the USS Midway Museum
The optional Sunday trip the Midway will depart via bus from the hotel between 1:15 and 1:30pm, and will arrive at the Midway by 2pm. Optional free tours by Mr. Mark Halverson and Mr. John Thomas. Bus departs the Midway at 5pm to return to the hotel by 5:30pm.
Equipment
You are free to bring your own laptop to the WSRC. This may be especially helpful for Friday's LinkedIn tutorial. Tables and power strips will be available for their setup.
