ntation: Shaping the Future of Systems Engineering and INCOSE \nLook aroun
d us and what do you see regarding the systems of today? It is hard to fin
d a relevant system that is a stand-alone system\, not interconnected to o
ther systems or interacting in some significant way with other systems. An
d the increases in the functionality of our systems\, as well as the level
of technology adoption\, has continued to outpace our practices to fully
harness the technology and technically manage the Systems and Systems of S
ystems to our greatest advantage. \; The state of the practice in syst
ems engineering continues to modernize and grow in many areas\, with subst
antial progress in areas such as standards\, tools\, models\, processes\,
SE competencies\, technical management\, and measurement. These are necess
ary\, but not wholly sufficient\, to meet the needs of tomorrow&rsquo\;s a
ccomplishments. We all must be leaders to inspire and guide an effective e
volution of systems engineering across diverse stakeholder communities. \n
We are very pleased to welcome Garry Roedler\, the incoming INCOSE Preside
nt\, to describe a vision for the future of systems engineering and how IN
COSE is aligning its resources to support those goals. \nHis presentation
will look at our current situation and how our environment has changed\, p
roviding an understanding of the challenges we are facing with some exampl
es using specific technology areas. \; It will look at some of the wor
k in process to advance our processes\, practices\, and performance of Sys
tems Engineering towards addressing those challenges.\n \;\n \; Ab

is a Senior Fellow and the Engineering Outreach Program Manager for Lockhe
