Michael Macedonia will address the current state of virtual reality (VR) and how virtual environment applications fit in our society's future. The promises of cyberspace are aging rapidly and there is no consensus on the state of VR. However, the ubiquity of high-bandwidth network connections and powerful mobile graphics has already lead to many novel uses of VR, particularly in support of entertainment and medicine.
