Abstract:  Agility is enabled and maintained by a fundamentally necessary and sufficient common architecture in systems of all kinds; from agile development and deployment, to the agile systems and products that are deployed. This presentation focuses on that common architecture, and how it enables both reactive resilience and proactive innovation. Several case studies from different industries are examined, as are examples from the natural world.

About the Presenter:  The author and presenter is Rick Dove, Chair of the INCOSE Agile Systems and Systems Engineering Working Group, Adjunct Professor at Stevens Institute of Technology in the School of Systems and Enterprises, and CEO of Paradigm Shift International. He co-chaired the 1991 industry-led 21st Century Manufacturing Enterprise Strategy project conducted at Lehigh University that identified agility as a principle competitive issue.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Please feel free to bring dinner to the event.
