About the Presentation:
Model Based Systems Engineering is all the rage among engineering organizations.  MBSE promises a number of benefits for companies that adopt this paradigm of engineering.  As with any business transformation, there are a number of challenges that are experienced. This MBSE talk will explore both the roadblocks to progress and onramps to success in executing a MBSE practice. 
 
About the Speaker:
Kendall Young currently serves Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems as a NG Fellow for Model Based Engineering (MBE).  In this role, Kendall has utilized enterprise architecture techniques in numerous large system and IT-intensive development activities.  Leading from models, his research activities have yielded dozens of modeling capabilities utilized by the corporation, including lean architecture methodologies, integrated tooling sets, and advanced collaboration environments.  Kendall is an author and instructor for MBE and DoD Architecture Framework training materials.
Kendall graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.  He was certified in Enterprise Architecture by the Federal Enterprise Architecture Certification Institute in 2004.  He is currently in the M.S. Systems Engineering program at Florida Institute of Technology.  Kendall holds 14 U.S. Patents in multiple domains.
