Exam Cost: No cost for INCOSE LA Chapter members.
Exam Description: The paper exam has the same format as the standard knowledge exam, with 120 multiple-choice questions in 120 minutes. The exam is based on the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook (v4).
Test candidates should plan to arrive 30 minutes early to show ID and receive instructions.
Candidates who pass the exam will have the opportunity to use their results toward an application for ASEP or CSEP certification.
The exam is closed book (ie, no books and no notes permitted). However, if English is not the native language for any candidate, they may request in advance to have an additional thirty minutes of exam time and to bring in a translation dictionary of English to another language. The proctor will look through to make sure there are no handwritten notes before allowing the dictionary.
Phone apps and computers are not allowed for either translation or time-keeping.
