Systems Architecting for a Retrofittable Subsea Application

This presentation discusses the systems architecting approach tailored to the unique complexities of developing a system for the retrofit of a Subsea System used in offshore deepwater operations. The MBSE process and challenges encountered during development will be discussed. The presentation highlights the conference paper submitted to the 26th Annual INCOSE International Symposium.

This event is FREE and focused on Systems Engineering professionals. INCOSE membership is not required.

Jason Baker, Senior Systems Enineer, Transocean

Jason Baker is a senior systems engineer at Transocean Offshore International in Houston, Texas. He is responsible for leading a team of systems engineers deploying MBSE for the development of safety critical systems. He received a B.S. in Human Factors from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a M.E. in Systems Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He has received various professional certifications including, INCOSE CSEP and TUV Rheinland Functional Safety Engineer. Previously he worked for Barrios Technology, contracted to BP, performing requirements development, analysis, integration and verification for various oil and gas systems. Prior to BP, he worked in NASA Mission Operations Division performing real time mission support for the International Space Station operations
