Opportunities for Collaboration
The Inaugural Houston Area Systems Engineering conference focuses on opportunities for collaboration and communication in Systems Engineering in the Aerospace and Oil and Gas communities. The conference program seeks to explore this area by addressing needs, capabilities, and best practices for SE in both environments.
The conference will seek to provide insight into the business case for Systems Engineering: Complex systems in Aero and Oil and Gas, especially from the perspectives of Compliance, Cost Savings, Reliability, and Safety.

The Conference will kick-off with a short welcome followed immediately by technical sessions in the following topical areas, with the intent of comparing and contrasting Aero and O&G experiences:

Requirements development and management
System Architecting
Test and Verification
System Integrity
Over lunch, we’ll hear from senior leadership, including Kirk Shireman, NASA International Space Station Program Manager, and a senior leader from the Oil and Gas community.
The final session will be a round table format seeking to integrate and process the findings of the day and identify next steps, actions and initiatives.
