INCOSE INTERNSHIP

Engineering students work with INCOSE members around the globe to apply their education.

When you're an intern, it can be hard to see the big picture.

You're focused on a project—and that's good! However, you also want to make sure that what you're doing is useful and meaningful. That's where the INCOSE internship program comes in.

By being an INCOSE intern, you will have the chance to work on projects that are relevant to your interests and skillset. You will also form professional connections, learn about company culture, and gain valuable experience that will prepare you for your future career as an Systems Engineer.

In 2022, INCOSE welcomed three interns: Anthony Abi Badra, who worked with the MARCOM team, and Mrunmayi Joshi and Morenikeji Araloyin, who worked with the certification team. Learn more about Anthony and Murnmayi by watching the interview video at the bottom of this page.

Go to the INCOSE Volunteer Opportunity Board and look for intern positions. The hiring manager will contact you near the closing date for the position. You may apply for multiple paid and volunteer positions.

Intern Spotlight

Anthony Abi Badra

Anthony is pursuing a Master’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering at ISAE-SUPAERO in France. He is majoring in Systems Engineering. His current research focuses on applying a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to formalize the mission of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineer and has experience in both the mechanical and aerospace domains. He has also worked in business development. Anthony has worked with the INCOSE MarCom team.

If I had the option to do the internship again, I would definitely do it!

Mrunmayi Joshi

Mrunmayi is an Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) and a current Master’s in Aerospace Engineering student at ISAE-SUPAERO, majoring in Systems Engineering. Her research interests include MBSE, tool integration with MBSE, and application of Systems Engineering to aerospace systems. She previously worked as a Systems Engineer for two years in healthcare domain, and interned as a Production Engineer in automobile domain prior to her Master’s. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mrunmayi worked as a certification intern during her two months at INCOSE.

I learned a lot about systems thinking as a whole. I think internships like this could really help aspiring systems engineers to develop this skill set.

Morenikeji Araloyin

Morenikeji Araloyin is a current PhD student in Systems Science at Binghamton University. His research interests include complex systems, cyber-physical systems, and system dynamics. He previously worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer prior to joining INCOSE in December 2021 as an intern. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Systems Engineering.

I am proud to have received a Systems Engineering master's degree this past Fall as a systems engineering career has always been my high professional priority. I am most proud to have gained skills to develop and manage large-scale complex systems
