Membership Types

Whether you are a student or early in career professional, or a senior member of the systems engineering community, INCOSE provides a membership level appropriate for your participation. INCOSE is open to individuals, corporations, other business entities, governmental agencies, not for profit organizations, and academic institutions.

Individual – $175.00 USD

Qualifications:

  • Systems engineering professionals from corporate management, government & program management, research & development, science and engineering, business development, and many more. 
  • Students studying to become systems engineers or advancing their expertise can benefit from a membership in INCOSE as well.

  • Member discounted application fees for the INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification Program.
  • Gain technical knowledge, networking, access, and influence from an individual membership. 
  • Include complimentary access to INCOSE publications of the SE Journal and INSIGHT.
Senior – $100.00 USD

Qualifications:

  • Individual members qualify for the Senior category if they are at least 65 years of age at the time they join or renew their membership.

Some of the Benefits:

  • Senior members also receive a 50% discount on their registration and other program fees for the International Symposium.
  • Reduced registration fee for the International Workshop.
  • Includes complimentary online access to INCOSE publications of the SE Journal and INSIGHT.

Notes:

  • Proof of age is required to take advantage of this discount. Senior member status must be confirmed by the Central Office before individuals can register at the discounted rate.
  • Those members who intend to seek Senior member status and take advantage of the discounted fees at the International Symposium must renew their membership prior to registering for the symposium.
Student – $50.00 USD

Qualifications:

  • Are enrolled in a university or college as a student seeking a degree.
  • Not employed more than 1/4 time outside the university in which they are enrolled.
  • Course load is at least 3/4 of full time as defined by that university.

  • Reduced rates for the registration and program fees for the International Symposium.
  • Complimentary online access to INCOSE publications of the SE Journal and INSIGHT.

Note(s): 

  • Proof of student status (letter from advisor confirming student enrollment and 3/4-time status) will be required with membership application in order to comply with the student member eligibility. 
  • Student members do not have voting privileges in INCOSE elections. 
  • When applying for CSEP or ESEP certification, only 3 months of work experience may be counted for each year during which an individual was an INCOSE student member.
PPP2, PPP3, & PPP4 Country – Amount Varies

Qualifications:

  • Depending on the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) of the country in which you live, you may be eligible for a discounted rate on your INCOSE membership. More information can be found in LST-101 and LST-103

  • Discounted registration fees for the International Symposium (IS) and International Workshop (IW)
  • Includes complimentary online access to INCOSE publications of the SE Journal and INSIGHT.

Note(s):

  • For residents of the countries designated by the President, members may, but are not required to, avail themselves of the stated discount.
  • The president of INCOSE may designate residents of certain countries eligible for reduced annual member dues. A designation is valid for one membership year and may be extended or cancelled by the President for each subsequent membership year.
Corporate Advisory Board (CAB) – Amount Varies

Qualifications:

  • Companies and institutions that work in and support systems engineering in government and commercial business sectors gain knowledge, access, influence, visibility, and contacts through membership in the Corporate Advisory Board (CAB).

Some of the Benefits: 

  • The CAB is the customer’s voice to INCOSE’s Leadership. Their input provides the strategic guidance that leaders to the development of systems engineering products & standards to mee their needs.
  • Depending on which “level” you organization or institution falls under, you will receive Associate accounts for your employees or students to access some of the many INCOSE resources
  • Alignment with fellow industry leaders

Note(s): 

  • Membership is processed annually. Full cost is due at join for the initial year’s membership, the second year will be pro-rated if joined mid-year.

Qualifications:

  • Employees or students of a CAB Organization who are not INCOSE individual members are able to sign up for a CAB Associate account.
  • Must sign up using the email address provided by organization.

  • Access to the CAB Knowledge Center. 

Policy on Transferring Memberships

An organization may provide membership in INCOSE for its own employees or members (hereafter referred to as designees) by making a single payment to INCOSE in the amount of the dues owed for all designees, and providing INCOSE with the name, address, phone number, and E-mail address for each designee. In accordance with INCOSE policy, memberships are not transferable to other individuals, but additional designees can be added with an accompanying payment. INCOSE will address all mailings directly to the designees, except for initial renewal notices which will be sent to the organization. INCOSE shall have the option to solicit membership renewals from those designees not renewed by the organization.
