Following the terrorist events of September 11, 2001, several members of INCOSE have become involved in international, regional, and local activities to respond to those events that have shaken the international community. A charter for the INCOSE Systems Engineering Initiatives Technical Committee (SEITC) and an Anti-Terrorism International Working Group (ATIWG) were established in October 2001.
