System Engineering though well established in the development of Aircraft Systems and Software within Airbus has not been widely used in structural design. On the A380 project it was decided to deploy System Engineering methodology across both disciplines to add rigor to the design, benefit from exchange of data and try to ensure Maturity at EIS.
