An invitational workshop at the January INCOSE International Workshop (IW08) was held to clarify the concepts, principles and terminology for the architecture of systems and enterprises. The results of this workshop have served the needs of several groups: the two ISO standards committees dealing with architecture, TC184/SC5/WG1 and JTC1/SC7/WG42, the Model Based Systems Engineering initiative, and various INCOSE Working Groups.
