The Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) initiative is a blend of systems engineering and software procedures that promote process improvement in multi-discipline activities such as a support system modernization at a Test Range. Using processes that promote consensus, the CMMI provides a cohesive framework for development that accommodates multiple disciplines toward a modernization development effort.
