The System Engineering Data Representation and Exchange Standardisation (SEDRES) Project is a European initiative towards the development of a standardised data exchange capability for use between the different tools used in System Engineering. A significant issue arising from the Project is the usability of such a data transfer capability, and its effectiveness in the System Engineering process, especially in its application in the support of Integrated Product Teams.
