This paper addresses several concurrent initiatives within the Royal Norwegian Navy Materiel Command, and how information available world-wide have been utilised. This includes use of the Systems Engineering tool RDD-100®, IEEE STD 1220–1994, results from NATO CALS, the SE-CMM and SWOT analysis.
