This paper summarizes a complex-system engineering (cSE) regimen for the deliberate and accelerated management of the natural processes that shape the development of complex-systems and proposes an approach for applying this regimen to enterprises. It also introduces a fundamental process of cSE, multiscale analysis—a departure from the traditional, uniscale, reductionist analysis that underpins traditional system engineering (TSE).
