In response to an opportunity to learn EIA/IS 731 appraisal methods while performing a real appraisal with limited resources, an appraisal team has developed an innovative approach to the questionnaire and interview/meeting analysis phases. First, a spreadsheet adaptation of the EIA/IS 731.2 questionnaire was prepared, providing a compact presentation of the preparatory briefing information, the question text, an area for answers, and an expanded area for comments.
