Abstract In 1995, Honeywell’s Air Transport Systems division began using the INCOSE Systems Engineering Capability Assessment Model (SECAM) as a tool for facilitating Systems Engineering process improvement. The Key Focus Areas of the SECAM were used as a template for organizing the division’s standard Systems Engineering process and Systems Engineering Capability Assessments were conducted to measure the completeness and effectiveness of this process.
