The government and contractor program managers for the Navy’s Advanced Deployable System (ADS) have implemented an Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD) methodology for development of their system’s Underwater Segment. A key element in the success of this methodology has been the effectiveness of the leadership provided by the government-contractor Systems Engineering and Management Team (SEMT).
