Practitioners actively involved in modeling systems today generally agree that our profession does not construct a unified model of a median system let alone an adequate, accurate and timely model of the larger, more complex systems, especially those in which humans are active elements. Ironically, knowledge about and technologies for modeling are progressing faster than their rate of adoption.
