This paper describes the architecture and characteristics of the Industrial Collaboration Systems Engineering Capability Maturity Model (IC SE-CMM), and the application of the model to an organization in a pilot appraisal performed at Hughes Aircraft Company. The appraisal methodology is discussed both in general terms and the Hughes specific application.
