This paper describes an Integrated Product Team’s (IPT) experience applying Concept Engineering™ (CE™) which is as a five-stage, disciplined process that helps define the “fuzzy front end” of a program. The case study emphasizes the team’s application of the CE methodology through the first two stages in order to first develop a shared understanding of the customer’s environment and then convert that understanding into customer requirements.
