Air Force Policy Directive 63–12, Assurance of Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness, establishes the Air Force requirement to assure operational safety, suitability, and effectiveness (OSS&E) through a system’s operational life. Electronic Systems Center (ESC) of Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) is responsible to provide this assurance for each Command and Control (C2) system developed, procured, operated, maintained, modified, or employed.
