In the aerospace community, requirements data has a way of living beyond the end of product validation when it might be expected that it has fulfilled its purpose. Not only are these requirements then used to develop test strategies and acceptance limits for the production line, but certain aerospace standards and product support agreements demand a transmittal of test requirements to the airlines and their representatives.
