Our experience shows that Systems Engineering and other engineering disciplines often work on the same phase throughout the program development life cycle. The combination of a heavy System’s task load at the beginning of a program coupled with concurrent tasks with other engineering disciplines for the duration of the program causes System’s Engineering to fall behind early on and have to play “catch up” for the duration of the development.
