AN IEEE STD 1220–1994 BASED SYSTEMS ENGINEERING LIFE-CYCLE REFERENCE MODEL, IMPLEMENTED IN RDD-100®

This paper addresses the motivation and some of the effort undertaken to develop and describe a Systems Engineering Life-cycle Reference Model and a Generic Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) for introduction of the Systems Engineering process into an organisation. The work is based on the IEEE Std 1220–1994 “IEEE Trial-Use Standard for Application and Management of the Systems Engineering Process” and is modelled in the Systems Engineering tool RDD-100® from Ascent Logic Corporation.
