The military has limited means to objectively evaluate soldier and squad performance, leading to sub-optimal operational, training, and acquisition decisions. Part of this limitation stems from the fact that the ability to monitor, predict, and enhance soldier and squad performance is a complex System of Systems (SoS) undertaking.
