A Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) is a capability that can be used to securely connect discrete systems or networks, which may have different security policies to address their exposure to different types of threats and levels of risk, and therefore hold different levels of trust. CDS is an example of technological convergence where discrete security concepts and technologies are carefully combined within a comprehensive system architecture to protect sensitive, critical and classified networks.
