This paper is based upon a multi-year effort to improve the skills and capabilities of the Systems Engineering workforce at a medium sized organization. Themes include: identifying the systems engineering workforce, facilitating capability development for this workforce, motivating and inspiring the workforce to continue improving their skills, and assessing the level of competency developed.
