The central theme to this paper is to provide the research outcome on the application of a software model developed for effective transfer of user requirements into product design features including cost analysis, with built-in scientific decision making support tool. In the extremely competitive global environment, there is a need for integrating cost evaluation and deployment into the design process in a systematic way for up front identification of cost while maintaining a balance of quality and performance requirements.
